Category: XSL Group: output: HTML Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Kevin C. Baird (kbaird) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: biblio.xsl: <citetitle> -> <cite> instead of <i> Initial Comment: (X)HTML has a tag <cite> intended for titles of works. biblio.xsl 1.25 converts DocBook's <citetitle> tag into an <i> tag. This loses information (the fact that the text is a title), and also discriminates, however slightly, against blind people and others who uses non-visual user agents for which the concept "italic" is meaningless or not useful. The default behavior for <cite> tags in HTML in a visual context is to render with italics anyway, so no visual functionality is lost by using the patch. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373750&aid=1361591&group_id=21935 |
