Category: DocBook XSL Group: HTML Help/Java Help/Eclipse He Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: anatoly techtonik (techtonik) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: fix to satisfy XSLT 1.0 recommendation Initial Comment: Actual for 1.68.1 at least "If xsl:template does not have a match attribute, it must not have a mode attribute." (c) http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#modes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Michael Smith (xmldoc) Date: 2005-06-20 13:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=118135 I assume the submittor was referring to the following: ./htmlhelp/htmlhelp-common.xsl:<xsl:template name="select.mediaobject.enumerate-images" mode="enumerate-images"> ./htmlhelp/htmlhelp-common.xsl:<xsl:template name="mediaobject.filename.enumerate-images" mode="enumerate-images"> ./htmlhelp/htmlhelp-common.xsl:<xsl:template name="write.filename.enumerate-images" mode="enumerate-images"> Not sure why the 'mode="enumerate-images"' attribute and value are on those. Maybe they started out as "match" templates and then got turned into named templates later and the mode attribute was inadvertently retained? Anyway, it seems like the mode attribute and value can simply be removed from those. To me, having a mode attribute on a named template that doesn't have a match attribute shouldn't really qualify as an error (regardless of what the XSLT spec says). It's just that it doesn't make any sense and has absolutely no effect, right? (Unless there's something I missing about how modes work, which could well be...) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373749&aid=1223236&group_id=21935 |
