Hi Fulvio, I'm not sure if I understand completely what you want to have. Would a reference database be located somewhere on a public server and each client could update its local copy on a regular basis? Chessbase used to have a regular update from twic, but twic has stopped that from their side. If you mean something like that, this could be done in chessx with some twenty lines of code. The problem would be to create a server which provides updates on a regular basis. I don't think, it is allowed to use some publicly available server (like twic) without their explicit permit.
