[Canorus-devel] Midi in Linux and Windows (and Mac)

Hi Canorus,

greetings from Denemo.

How do you solved it that Midi is different on every platform but Canorus can communicate with them all. Is it all by RTMidi and Canorus itself is completly independent?

(Can it actually? I did not test it. But I think it should :) so its the same discussion).

Denemo currently uses Jackmidi and wants to use that only. In Linux Jackmidi uses an alsa <=>jackmidi bridge to communicate with the real hardware (eg midi-instrument) but in MacOS and Windows there is no such bridge to Coremidi/Winmme.

Do you have any thoughts about (changing to) Jackmidi? What can you tell me about your way of doing it?
