Documents can be added to the OS X dock. I have my master .bib file on mine, for easy access. The icon that gets used is noticeably low-res though (pictured on right). The BibDesk application icon (pictured on left) looks great.

As a quick fix, maybe make the document icon the same as the application icon? Also might considering adding an icon for documents that is visually distinct from the icon for the application. Maybe having the application icon as an inset on a page, or something else.

Cheers,
Arya

This is not the document icon, the document icon has a file background and a "BIB" label. This is the app icon, and we have only one version of it (with various sizes). So it must be the dock that uses a low res version of it.

Okay, but the dock appears to use hi-resolution icons for every other document type, so I believe this is a bibdesk issue.

Again, this is not a document icon. It's the app icon. I don't know what you;re linking. But it's not a document.

Sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology. It's a .bib file.
