Hi there, Lately I have been dealing with some firewall settings and happened to see some http requests initiated by our ASSP servers. I did not remember to see those before. After some research, I found those connections in association with HTML mails incoming at the same time (newsletters etc). So far no problem. What is a little obscure for me is which part of the gateway at last initiates these connections and why, as it seems not necessary to get HTML elements (images etc) at the gateway stage. Is it some phishing detection? Is it ASSP or even ClamAV wanting to scan attachments? Does MailEnable like to store the additional infos? I do not really have a problem with this issue, I'd just like to understand what is happening. Maybe someone has a clue? I am running ASSP2, ClamAV and Mailenable on Win2k3.
