what about a ring which protects gear from losing till lvl 15ish or something? it's very hard to start playing and easy to spend hard-earned-rat-money on silly gear, so why not babysit them for a while. Also, the ring description should warn the player about losing attributes/items if they die (i see newbies die several times a day because they try to recover items from their own corpse).
2 or 3 bounded home scrolls wouldn't hurt either. it would not only protect and educate the player, but also introduce the items better. i for example started using home scrolls only at lvl34, because noone told me about them and what they do!
//sorry my english and sorry for making 2 requests into 1, i'm just lazy!

Hi,
the idea in general of helping new players starting in Stendhal is nice. The question is if we maybe have to widen the current tutorial instructions/descriptions in relation to items losing on death and the other points you mention or maybe include those hints on signs along the path to semos and around semos. Not sure what players will see first, pop-up messages or signs or maybe another thing.
What we can also reconsider is recording new youTube videos with tutorials and hints which we can then link within the game - lots of features changed during the last years and I'm not sure if these video-instructions are all up to date...
