Agreed. Need more pushable blocks in game. Also, would be nice to have smoother movement and different types of blocks. For example: Certain block types cannot be moved unless a player has a special item equipped, such as a power ring.
Also, a block that can be moved 1 space but stops character movement. That way player can move block aside to reveal portal without entering.

During minetown, the Sokoban games makes use of movable blocks which dressed as pumpkins.
I like he portal idea. Perhaps we should use a layout like this:
In line with this I'd like to see pressure plate puzzles where the player needs to push a block on top of a button to unlock a door.
Believe at one point the spike floors in the catacombs were planned to be used with buttons to deactivate them.
