c-lightning is a a BOLT-compliant Lightning implementation by Blockstream [2] written in C language. Version 1 of c-lightning was released on August 8th, 2015, and has since been under active beta development. c-lightning runs on Linux. The Lightning Network is an off-chain, routed payment channel network built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. The network consists of nodes connected by peer-to-peer channels. This allows low cost, near-instant payments to be trustlessly routed across the network via connected nodes. On top of complying with all BOLT standards, c-lightning is developing an architecture for plugins. Plugins can be built to extend the c-lightning command line API. There are a number of developer tools, libraries and plugins that exist for the c-lightning implementation. -

Near-optimal RNA-Seq quantification
kallisto is a program for near-optimal quantification of transcript abundances from RNA-Seq data, or more generally of target sequences using high-throughput sequencing reads. It is based on the idea of using pseudoalignment to quickly determine reads and targets’ compatibility, with no need for alignment. According to benchmarks done on a Mac desktop computer, kallisto can quantify 30 million human bulk RNA-seq reads in less than 3 minutes with just the read sequences and a transcriptome index, that in itself can take more than 10 minutes to build. And since it uses pseudoalignment, it is robust to errors in the reads and preserves the key information needed for quantification. This makes kallisto not only fast but highly accurate as well. In many benchmarks, it even greatly outperforms existing tools. -

The auditory modeling toolbox (AMT) is a Matlab/Octave toolbox for the development and application of auditory computational models. Over 50 auditory models implemented in Matlab, Octave, C, C++, and Python can be run from Matlab and Octave, on Windows and Linux. The AMT provides a well-structured in-code documentation, includes auditory data required to run the models. It integrates functionality to reproduce the model predictions. Model implementations can be evaluated in two stages, by running so-called demonstrations which are quick presentations of a model and by starting so-called experiments aimed at reproducing results from the corresponding publications.
