+1 Blaming Microsoft Windows for the issue is not acceptable. WinRAR has no such issue doing the exact same thing. After ranting whats wrong with 7zip I had to go back use WinRAR to extract something because there was not enough space on the windows-temp drive, that´s why it is set to use a different drive. It´s important - usability, speed (For some in using RAMdisk), security, drive degradation. EDIT: Using 2 pane view or context menu is not intuitive!

Thanks! I was puzzled it works so easy for you. OS versions do a lot of things different. That´s what I get with your settings, the actual position to click stays in the 640x480 dimension (Upper left centered). Even though the rest get´s bigger. I encountered this problem from day one using DxWnd on imperialism.

I tinkered again with the in game music. It does play, but it is necessary to wait until the main menu appears. The intro video does not play, and it takes until the first track is over (~2:50). - "Ignore Devide Id." is essential - "Virtual CD audio" - "Emulate CD mixer" are also on This way as others I could realise that GOG's oggs are faulty and made my own. JohnD what are your settings, that there is no click area error when scaling up?

"When you zoom out / go to the map mode, and try to select and move your fleets that way the game always crashes" This is an old NT bug. It already happened ever since when playing on Windows 2000. I can asure you this at least does not happen with the gog version (my settings and v2.05.64) and following the file replacement instructions in this thread. https://sourceforge.net/p/dxwnd/discussion/general/thread/29d0d150/?page=1&limit=25#2a14

Thanks for the suggestion. But I don´t know, the player shows continiously STOP. Only when checking 'Ignore Device Id.' music plays, but nothing else, no intro video, only a black window and clicking the window crashes imperialism. The game runs without crashes and strange views, in a "window" on a second screen. That´s already a lot.

They are already as ogg under MUSIC in the game folder. Runing it without DxWnd the music is already missing. But play along with VLC or winamp works too. Emulate CD Audio settings did not work.

Hey Guys! I can run the GOG Version on Win7 x64! No glitches at all. Using gho's setting from 17. Oktober as a base. The Position setting has to be identical to the initial resolution setting - different sizes possible. I'm using Win7 x64 in classic mode (Aero Off). DxWnd v2.05.64 DxwPlay v1.02 Renamed winmm.dll. Tell me if it works for you too
