would have thought the "core"-cars (e.g. the official carsets) should kept in the repo for maintenance, keeping them updated (or at least have tickets on whats needed) and otherwise keep track of them. I agree. This is what we already do with most cars, but sometimes I uploaded them to the file server directly as https://forge.a-lec.org is often being DDoS'd by aggressive AI scrapers. I wish they can fix that situation soon - see https://forge.a-lec.org/cominfra/forge/issues/33 for further reference....
while i was aware that you were adding the capabilty for generating drivers, i thought you kept the possiblity of having preset car/driver combinations with a fixed livery bound to it around (for preset championships etc.) This is still supported: manually crafted drivers can be installed into the user config directory (i.e., $HOME/.speed-dreams-2 on Unix-like systems), inside the drivers/ directory (e.g.: $HOME/.speed-dreams-2/drivers/shadow/). Similarly to how drivers were listed on the SVN repository,...
where is it linked on the official poject pages (i didn't see it, only the link to the wiki on the homepage)? The assets database is not listed on the official website because it is meant to be machine-readable and accessible from the game itself, or any other client that supports the database schema. which means there should be usable setups with fitting robot drivers for (most of) the carsets with the cars listed there I am not sure what you mean with "fitting robot drivers". As of v2.4.0, it is...
That is because, exceptionally, the sc-deckard-conejo was uploaded directly to our file server, as opposed to most of the other cars and tracks, that were instead automatically uploaded to the forge with the help of a shell script. Other cars like the sc-carson-96 and the sc-murasama-nsx were uploaded likewise.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful rally car! 🤩 I have just uploaded it to the official assets database so it can be downloaded in-game.
Deckard Conejo -> currently removed from the repo; reason? (since it is scratchmade, license shouldn't be a issue) The Deckard Conejo is available from https://www.speed-dreams.net/assets.json (see attached screenshot)
