IMDB scraping is currently non‑functional due to the enforcement a web application firewall on imdb.com We use to accept donations, but PayPal stopped that for reasons. I will get IMDb back, but finding time is the issue. Coders are welcome to help.

This needs a webbrowser update in Media Companion, in progress with all the fixed in upgrading to later Dot Net version. Working on it.

Hi Trevor Sorry to see you go, but I understand the reasoning. I have been quite lapse lately spending time on coding. I am the only developer of Media Companion for the past 8 years, and lately have been struggling to spread my free time between family and Media Companion. With the changes on the web with IMDb, as well as the shutting down of TVDb API V1 & V2, This has resulted in a lot of background work to update Media Companion to a later version of Dot Net, with time spend fixing all the bugs...

For TV series, right click the series and select Switch series scraper to TMDb This will scrape the TMDb ID for the series and from then scrape the episodes from TMDb. You can also do this in Bulk from the Folders tab, by changing the root folder source from TVDB to TMDb. IMDB scraping is currently non‑functional due to the enforcement a web application firewall on imdb.com In Movie Preferences -> Scraper, unselect all options for data from IMDb. For now IMDB is no go for retrieving movie data.....I am trying to resolve but it is taking a lot of my free time.
