Odd, I unselected all items from IMDb, deleted nfo and artwork, rescraped and getting genre and ratings from TMDb. Still working on the IMDb issue, being quite elusive.
Data like Stars, Outline were only available from IMDb, which is still being worked on. I suggest for now, unselect any data you were getting from IMDb in the Movie Scraper tab.
Tested with Lee Cronin's The Mummy, and Ronin 1988. Both failed to scrape anything except for the actors. Quick google shows As of May 20, 2026, TMDB (The Movie Database) API is experiencing issues primarily related to corrupted data and caching following a fix at the origin server.
Unable to test right now, but have you tried the 'Change movie ' tab?
IMDB has altered their site, no longer able to access IMDb data directly. I am trying to get this working again, taking a lot of time.
Series becoming locked would mean something is overwriting the nfo tag <state>0</state> with the value of 1. 1 in the state tag means locked. Media Companion wouldn't do this by itself, and the nfo you pasted up is the default blank nfo if the series couldn't be scraped. Again, MC won't do this by itself. EG: if the nfo can't be read, mc posts an OOPS message, MC will not overwrite the nfo in this case. But if an external program is altering the nfo, making it unreadable, I haven't had any other...
Multi part episodes only get one nfo, but that nfo contains the information for each episode inside. But, the nfo file only get one filename title.
Interesting catch. Will look into this, but I have a prior issue I am needing to resolve before this can be corrected.
