First, the relevant information is buried as an offhand sentence under "Where are the notes and highlights stored?" which is not apparently related to form text at all. But more importantly: The user has no way of knowing that the text he's filling out in a form is useless (and therefore wouldn't go hunting around for obscure remarks in the FAQ anyway). It's doubly baffling when , in Skim, you can select and "edit" text that other applications...

Form text entered in Skim isn't reflected in other apps

I didn't enter the text as a note. It's form data, and users will expect it to be treated as such. Therefore, it is a bug. Not to mention the large "X" defacing the form, which hasn't been addressed.
