I understand what you are saying, but I am constantly using that because I am comparing several properties of compressed and uncompressed files. Some people here are constantly leaving uncompressed versions around consuming space, so we have to clean up after them. I have often found that there is another version with a slight difference in time which actually means the files was changed after it was archived, so deleting the modified version would be bad. Even if it is a rarely used setting, I do...

I am disappointed that this was closed. Just because one person thinks it is useless, does not mean that others feel the same. It is our time to spend when archiving, and if we decide that the added test cycle gives us more confidence to delete the source files, then that is our choice.
I too would like to see an option to Test an archive when creating it, or adding files, specifically before deletion of the source files are allowed. This would greatly streamline my process. Thank you
I too would like to see the ability to initiate a test once compression is completed, and only allow the deletion to occur (if test enabled) once the test succeeds. I understand that not everyone would use this, but it would immensely streamline my process. Thank you
I would like to add my voice to this request. My specific issue is that I cannot use "Ctrl+Alt+Left" and "Ctrl+Alt+Right" because those key combinations are assigned to my video driver and cause my laptop screen to change its orientation. If I could configure the shortcut keys I could then use these functions from the keyboard instead of only using a mouse.
FYI, I found what you are talking about documented here: https://msdn.microsoft....
Strange. I get this even when Notepad++ is open.
