Sure, thanks! But you were planned to add selection as 15 years ago. Im using Flipaclip, Ibis Paint and Tux Paint a long time and i see a huge gap between them and tux paint. Even mobile young users (including my little brother) using selection and layers as well. So if you make an effort to this, most users will get less effort for painting or editing in Tux Paint Also Flipaclip (only premium) already get the tools similar to Tux Paint stamps (but custom one)
