I have a clone of fd2000 (fnx1592), from it I can only load SONIC in Compatible mode from HD floppy (native partition). And Fastload mode only works from DD floppy formatted in CBM1581 mode Unfortunately I do not have RamLink.

Checking what's going on is beyond my capabilities ;) In addition to the FT232RL, I also have an rs232/usb converter based on the CP2101 chip that I'll check. I also planned to connect ESP8266/Strikelink to Vice via one of these converters/ I suspect that this will only be an interesting experiment. But it won't bring any specific conclusions.
Going off topic. Is this an expected symptom when connecting a real c64 to Vice using rs232/USB (FT232RL)? A simple program to send/receive characters. Sending from c64> to >Vice without errors. Sending from Vice> to >c64 with errors. The same program sends Vice<>Vice correctly in both directions (using socat). 10 open5,2,3,chr$(10)+chr$(0) 12 input"s or r";a$ 14 ifa$="s"then26 !- !- receiver 16 get#5,a$ 17 ifa$=""then16 20 if(asc(a$)<32)or((asc(a$)>127)and(asc(a$)<160))then16 22 printa$; 24 goto16...
That's it. \\\\.\\ didn't work but it works with \\.\com10 or \\.\\com10, I haven't tried others btw I used to send myself echo ... >\\.\com10 via cmd.exe it didn't occur to me to use that syntax in Vice Thanks.

When selecting com10 (and higher number) I can easily establish a connection with a real c64 via Putty or via CMD.exe on this OS. Only with Vice it limits me to com1-9 -- -reset to default, -load INI file, -load CCGMS and send two characters, with each single character the emulator hangs for a moment archdep_register_cbmfont(): Registering CBM fonts using Pango 1.52.2 succesfully registered 1 font(s) from C:\Users\Krzysztof\Desktop\BBS\GTK3VICE\bin\..\common\C64_Pro_Mono-STYLE.ttf. succesfully registered...
