That issue you linked to is for SEB 2.x. SEB 3.x is based on Chrome, not Safari and getUserMedia has worked fine in Chrome on MacOS for years.

Which version of SEB did you test? 2.x or 3.x?

Any update? I checked the 3.0 master branch on GitHub and there are still no releases for me to download and try out.

Let me know if there's any early testing I can do for you. I checked the 3.0 page on GH and there are no releases to try.

Update... I went to about:config via SEB and saw that "media.mediasource.webm.enabled" was defaulting to false. So, I went into the seb.js file and added the line pref("media.mediasource.webm.enabled", true); at the end. After that, I visited the about:config page via SEB again and saw that the default was now set to true. Unfortunately, even with that, it still doesn't work. Any chance of this happening before mid-September?

I decided to give 3.0 a try (I know it's not nearly ready for public use... but still curious). Installed 3.0 - ran config tool and enabled video and audio capture. Hit F5 to run SEB and it crashed - some file not found error. So I ran SEB directly (outside of the config tool). That worked. Was able to go through the system all the way up until the video recording... and it seems like Chrome denied access to the camera and microphone. Oh well. Almost!
