Adam, I'll just repeat that I had enough issues and strange things happening that I ended up reducing my contacts to under 1000, and I haven't had issues since that time. It's possible that there are some untrapped errors that happen because of the limit that set other things up for failure.

Deleting everything from Google would probably not reset any counts for the day, and I'm assuming you may have tried some things (including the sync) prior to clearing the Google contacts, so conclusions should keep that limit in mind. You may want to try a day (or even 24 hours) later. I also ended up setting "Outlook to Google only" since I had mostly made updates in Outlook and the 2-way sync seemed to have complications sometimes.

Hi Adam. As I had mentioned, I ended up just cleaning up my contacts so that they were less then 1000. (I also created single contacts with numerous contacts put in the notes for some groups of contacts that I don't use often). There was some earlier discussion about doing a one-time Outlook export and using the Google import feature, and I think that would likely help.

Hi Chess. I was going through e-mail and saw that I didn't respond to your question. Sorry about that. I'm familiar with the Google contacts import but I've used it on a limited basis only - like to share a subset of my contacts with a family member. I do not know if the Import feature has the same limitation, and at this point, I've been keeping my contacts just below 1000 to avoid the stated limitation; but I'll keep the Import in mind to try if it makes sense later. My understanding from the Google "quotas" (limits) page I had linked is that there seems to be a limit of 1000 "Contacts created" per day, so I'm not optimistic that reducing the number of items loaded/retrieved will help the overall issue. I think you would need to reduce the number of Google contacts created within a day to <1000. That seems possible based on the dates that are being stored with the process, but it would warrant a message on the "Sync Details...

I hit an issue like this and I think this may be related to another issue I think I found and reported today here: https://sourceforge.net/p/googlesyncmod/bugs/1347/ - if Google does limit new contacts to 1000 per day per user, this limit could be possibly reached even if <600 contacts exist if there are multiple syncs done - especially with the "Reset matches" involved.
