I need a PXE boot system to take care of a bunch of things and I'm begining to think DRBL and Clonezilla can't really function without being it's own DHCP system. Agree, this seems to be old info and needs some newer info for people that are trying to drop a Clonezilla server into an existing envrionment. We will soon have a corproate DHCP server that we will not have access to. I need this to work without anything other than supplying a PXE boot server IP and file name. How? Also, we have no need for MAC registration or having the Clonezilla server "remember" clients in any way other than we make an image of an OS and need to deploy it to where we want.

Went through the install instructions from http://drbl.org/installation/ and it made no mention of what to do for NFS. Maybe it happened automatically? Nope, can't boot Clonezilla Live, get a message about NFS denied. /etc/exports was empty, so I added: /tftpboot *(rw,sync,no_subtree_check) Then ran "exportfs -ra", so now trying to boot Clonezilla Live says it was able to mount some things but I see the error: "/sysroot is busy or already mounted" DRBL is not my DHCP server, this is an existing environment...

I need to be able to switch OS's quickly on a variety of hardware. I understand the OS may or may not agree with that method. But what I'm looking to do is make an image of a few different OS's, and then be able to boot any of my servers and choose which of those OS images are put on that server. Most other solutions I've looked at want to tie the images to a MAC address and do some fancy on-boot-autoimageing BS. I don't want fancy, I just want a list of images. Whether that image works on that server...
