Hello: I have downloaded and installed the new version from the xfe-2.1.8-install-linux-amd64.run file. Unfortunately, the issue I reported does not get fixed with this new version. I have the feeling that it may have something to do with GTK3 but it is just an idea. I say that because my LibreOffice installation had a similar (?) problem after the last update which required installing a package which was not a dependency. TL;DR: The AltGr key stopped working and I could no longer type special characters....
