Just to add information to the issue: the io package is not installed by default, so the user needs to first run "pkg install io" or "pkg install -forge io". However, even after installing io the problem continues. The problem is actually that line 592: [~,info]=pkg('list'); produces an empty "info" in my computer (running on Linux) and therefore does not load the package...
