In the dropdown to the right of the word "Pre Downloaded", I have the options "ISO" and "7zs". I downloaded the .zip file and chose the 7zs option from that drop-down when selecting the file.
I reported the bug here instead: https://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/bugs/348/
tuxboot method to create a bootable USB doesn't work
I tried to report a bug in tuxboot but the "Create Ticket" button is disabled, and it looks like the bug reports are quite old. I think it's an abandoned project. I suggest Clonezilla should update its website to make the tuxboot method "not recommended". https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxboot/tickets/
It worked when I used the Rufus method from Windows on the same USB key and same computer, instead of tuxboot from Linux. Is it because when I was following the tuxboot method, I downloaded the .zip file? Was I supposed to download the .iso file for that method?
I created a Clonezilla Live USB (amd64 version) using tuxboot according to the instructions on the website. I tried to boot from it by rebooting, pressing F8 to get to the boot menu, and selecting the USB drive. I got a message saying "Remove disks or other media". I had to then unplug the Clonezilla USB drive to get my system to start normally. Why won't the USB drive boot and what am I doing wrong?
