Hi all,
I have created a thread on Ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1436543 detailing my problems. I will summarize here.
I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64 with a Bamboo Pen CTL 460. I have a dual screen setup: nVidia GTX 275 graphics card, 2 1920x1080 monitors, Twinview enabled, Xinerama disabled. I have successfully compiled and installed the Linux Wacom drivers. The stylus works fine but is mapped to the entire large screen and the resolution and aspect ratio make it practically impossible to use. The various commands designed to localize the stylus pointer to one screen have no effect at all.
I tried switching Xinerama on and this did fix the problem. However Xinerama is pretty outdated - it doesn't support composite so you have to disable Compiz. Is there really no way to do this using Twinview only?
I'd be happy to just hack the code and force the tablet into a subregion of the screen, but that will be a last resort. If you have any suggestions as to how I might do that, that's also welcome.
Thanks for your help.
Xorg.conf configuration file
I should add that I have tried the driver version 8.5-10 (patched) and 8.5-11 (direct from website). Both give identical results.
Hello,
I have the same issue and for now a subregion hack would be fine... at least it would be usable.
Thanks,
Markus
Do you still have this problem? I see alpharesearch resolved his issue on March 25, 2010. Can we close this bug?
Please use workaround for now.
