About UrBudget
UrBudget is a zero-based envelope budgeting app for Windows and macOS, designed for individuals and households. It helps users assign income to categories, track spending, move money when plans change, and carry unspent balances forward. Targets help plan for irregular bills, while credit-card spending is reserved for payment. Users can enter transactions or import CSV, OFX, QFX, or QIF files, review imported rows, and skip duplicates. SimpleFIN Bridge can sync US and Canadian bank accounts. Users moving from YNAB can import accounts, transactions, categories, and targets. The app includes reports and a loan planner, plus an optional assistant for budget questions, overspending coverage, and receipt reading; proposed changes require user approval. Budgets are stored locally, with optional end-to-end encrypted sync between computers. A 30-day trial precedes a one-time license purchase; sync is billed separately.
