ProductPlan

Pros: I really love ProductPlan. It is a robust and complete software that has many advantages and has an awesome roadmap tool that helps plan every project from the start, creating a timeline in which I can track every step of a project from its beginning to its end, adding many tasks that can be organized in different ways and displaying them in a great way to prioritize the most important ones to finish projects quickly and plan the next one with great efficiency and fastness, it is simple to implement into the workforce and start working right away.

Its unlimited roadmaps allow for us to track different things in the same project and increase collaboration within the company, it has many tools that help organize the products and describe them accordingly for easier access and easier finding of the products when searching for different roadmaps, it is something that can be created very quickly and it is very beneficial in order to track project information and get feedback about products. It is easy to sort all the work inside ProductPlan, because it allows me to differentiate between different tasks and different ideas that we discuss inside the software, for example, we can tag things as brainstorming ideas and we can also tag things related to customer service or marketing strategies, this makes it easier to move things around in the software or find this easier because we just have to go to the tag that we want to and start working from there. Its integrations are amazing and work very well with the program, it is quick to connect with Slack for more collaboration and it is easy to share things from the program to the communication tool, it allows me to keep updated throughout the day by being shared different status of the roadmaps and how they are being done throughout the day.

Cons: Because of its simplicity, ProductPlan falls very limited in most areas, only allowing us to do the most basic things in a roadmap and planning a product, it does not do any more than what it promises and its customization is not very broad, making things difficult when wanting to work on more complex things and products. I would like to be able to have more variety in the way the timelines are displayed in the dashboard, because right now it only allows for many basic displays and it has its limitations when wanting to look at a bigger picture of what is going on, and when having many milestones in one single roadmap, it can be really difficult to organize them all in a way that it is simple to view and understand, making the process of seamlessly looking at the strategy plan more difficult and cumbersome. I would say the platform needs some improvement because it looks too simple, it does not feel as intuitive as other competitors and it falls short on different mobilities within the software, it does not feel very automated when creating tasks or organizing them, thankfully, the integrations make the software more automated but on its own it is still lacking a lot on this aspect and I would like to see more improvement in the future so this software becomes really powerful and more dynamic than what it already is.

Overall: ProductPlan is the way to go to create a master plan of every product that we launch, it is a great way to convey what we want to put out and it is a software that allow us to have all our products strategies in one place for easy collaboration between all members, we can give feedback through comments, organize tasks, look at the timelines and know what step we have to follow next, and create a wide range of strategies that can work for our products and discuss them together. It is possible to increase our work productivity by giving us a simple platform that can be used anytime and without any problems, it has boosted our workflow and has helped us work at a faster pace without lowering the quality of our work or our products, it has helped us plan our strategies better in order to launch many successful products for our small business and it continues to support us while we plan different things for the future, including menus and more strategies to improve our sales and more.
