"Capable SQL coding environment" Posted 2021-06-09
Pros: -simple layout (focus on history, connections and SQL query tabs
-reliable performance
-supports JDBC connections
-export options work wellCons: -cannot cancel running queries effectively
-amount of commands in menu structure can be daunting
-export could be better (use of templates and pre-selections)Overall: Being a daily driver for SQL queries, SQL Developer runs well and reliable for daily querying purposes. Being able to store often used queries, recall them and export results reliable is really useful. However, all this requires a lot of mouse-clicks. Some automation/templating would be helpful. Note: cancelling running queries may require restarting the program
