ECO3
Smartcool's ECO3 is an energy efficiency retrofit product that can save up to 40% kWh energy used by the compressor in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump systems (HVAC-R). The ECO3 achieves savings using intelligent cycle optimization technology. Even on the most modern equipment with intelligent controls, or where other energy-saving processes are already installed, Smartcool's ECO3 provides energy efficiency gains. The ECO3 works with any control system on these types of cooling units, including systems with any load profile, night set-back routine, non-demand related interruptions, demand limiting, and demand response functionality. The ECO3 interfaces with existing controls and equipment and installation can be completed in an hour without any system interruption or impact on controlled space conditions. Smartcool can provide additional functionality for even the most complex systems with the ESM.

T*SOL
T*SOL is the simulation program with which you can calculate the yield of a thermal solar system. No matter whether for domestic water heating, heating support, swimming pools or process heat, with T*SOL you can optimally design your planned solar thermal system, dimension storage and collector arrays (also east / west roofs) and determine the economic efficiency. At the start of the design process, you have a large selection of all relevant systems for domestic hot water heating and heating support, as well as for swimming pools and process heat. During the design, you will be supported with dimensioning suggestions and can use a parameter variation to find the optimal combination, e.g. of storage size and collector area. The parameters of the simulation results such as energies, temperatures or volumes can be displayed graphically. You can choose between different display formats such as bar charts and line graphs. The time axis can be varied between a day and up to a year.

Metrix Utility Accounting
As you know, an energy manager’s job is pretty frustrating. First of all, it’s nearly impossible to get adequate funding for your energy savings project. Even if you do get the money, how are you going to show that it was well spent? The answer is simple: by proving your savings. Unfortunately, it’s generally much easier said than done. What do you do if your boss doesn’t understand energy? Suppose this year’s winter is the coldest in years, and this year’s summer is the hottest. The extreme weather will lead to large increases in energy usage to heat and cool your buildings. How are you going to show energy savings when the additional heating and cooling energy usage is eating into (or maybe even overshadowing) the savings you achieved? Or if not weather, your savings may be hidden by increases in production, room occupancy, facility square footage, days in session or any number of other variables.
