Hostkey also publishes Geekbench results for these configurations, which makes comparing actual CPU performance easier than choosing only by the number of virtual cores. For administration I like the combination of RDP and the HTML5 console. If Remote Desktop stops responding after a firewall change or system update, the browser console provides another way to access the virtual machine. The control panel also supports reboot, reinstall and deployment from ISO images.

Hostkey offers NVMe and SSD options for Windows VPS and VDS. For MSSQL, application servers and Remote Desktop workloads this matters because disk latency can affect database queries, application startup and user sessions much more than the advertised sequential transfer speed alone.
