About FlexDeposit
But you also don’t want the move to take over your finances. We’re here with an option that makes it easier to keep cash in your pocket. FlexDeposit is a one-time nonrefundable fee that works the same as a traditional deposit but at a fraction of the cost. FlexDeposit lasts for the length of your lease. And if you move within the same community or to one owned by the same company, you won’t have to pay another fee. Instead of requiring a security deposit, the landlord can offer residents the option to pay a one-time, non-refundable payment for enrollment in the surety bond program. If you meet your financial and contractual obligations at the end of the lease (i.e., pay the rent and maintain the leased property in good condition) you are under no further obligation to FlexDeposit. If you do not meet your lease obligations, you are required to reimburse FlexDeposit for the losses paid, up to the bond limit amount.

Pros: I don’t see any pros in doing this or using this method, it says that is a low one time payment but mine was almost one month rent $940 something that I’m not getting back and if I leave and my apartment is dirty it won’t even cover the damn cleaning fee.
Cons: One time fee non refundable it supposed to be a low fee but mine was more than $900, it doesn’t cover anything on your apt, they don’t give it back so what is this for then?
Overall: Don’t use this this is just a way to take money from you my landlord didn’t explain it to me, she asked me to pay my deposit and after a year where I was gonna move out she was like “leave the apt spotless cause your deposit doesn’t cover any damages, no cleaning, no nothing” then why would they make you pay a deposit that is not gonna protect their property???? They just want your money.
