"Works until it doesn't, and then support cannot help" Posted 2026-08-08
Pros: Local file upload is solid. Transcription accuracy holds up on accented and multilingual audio, speaker identification works out of the box, and long files come back fast. The built-in editor makes correcting the few errors quick, and export covers TXT, DOCX and SRT. Pricing on the Pro plan is competitive against the bigger transcription services. When it works, it does the job well.
Cons: Online link import has been broken on my account since July 28, 2026. One public YouTube URL, pasted by hand into their web form, is created, sits for 10–20 minutes at zero duration and zero file size, then fails with status 400 and errCode 10011, "online link lambda time out". A public Vimeo URL fails with errCode 10010. Local uploads still work, so it is their link download step.
No status page and no incident notification, so you find out a core feature is down by watching your own tasks fail. Failed tasks cannot be re-run in bulk once a fix lands.Overall: I opened a support ticket on July 29 with error codes, timestamps and failing URLs. Eleven days and twelve replies later I have no diagnosis, no ETA, and no decision on the refund I requested on July 30 and again on August 4. Two replies asked for a screenshot, two more asked how I submitted the links, and the last two say the case is with the technical team. Every message is polite and contains nothing actionable.

The product itself is good for local files, and I'd have kept paying for that alone. What I cannot work around is a vendor that lets a paid feature stay down for a week and a half without once telling a customer whether it is being fixed. I've moved that part of my workflow to a local transcription setup.
