"Excellent solution for stakeholder and grievance management"

    Posted 2025-06-10

Pros: Borealis offers a comprehensive suite of features that truly support effective stakeholder management. The ability to create detailed stakeholder profiles, track interactions, map stakeholders geographically, and generate customized reports has been invaluable. The engagement tracking and task management functionalities help keep our team aligned and accountable.

They took the time to understand our specific needs, guided us through the setup process clearly, and ensured we were fully equipped to make the most of the tool. Their ongoing support has been instrumental in our successful adoption and use of Borealis.

Overall: We’re delighted with Borealis. The tool offers robust features for stakeholder tracking, communication logs, and reporting, all in a user-friendly interface. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable. Since going live, we’ve seen clear benefits, especially in audit processes, where the system’s traceability and documentation capabilities have stood out. Pros: Borealis is very accessible and this is one of its best features. The support is in implementing it was amazing. At every step we felt taken care of and any questions and changes were instantly answered or implemented. The system is very easy to understand and the features are amazing.

Cons: The biggest con is the price of the system, this makes is perhaps unacceptable to some clients.

Overall: The system is very accessible and intuitive to use. It is very well received with all our users. The analytics module is excellent and once you get the hang of it (witch toes not take to long) it is extremely versatile.
I can highly recommend this program for any SRM needs. But it is pricey.

"Importing geometries into the Borealis system"

    Edited 2025-04-02

Pros: In the Borealis system, taking into account the geometries of dwellings, plantations, annual and fallow crops, as well as sacred sites and cultural heritage, is essential for effective and sustainable land management. The precise structuring of these elements in the Borealis Geographic Information System (GIS) makes it possible to optimize the development of agricultural and urban spaces while preserving ecological and socio-cultural balances. Dwellings and infrastructure must be mapped precisely to ensure harmonious planning and avoid land use conflicts. Plantations and crops require rigorous management to maximize agricultural yields and preserve land fertility by integrating fallow periods. In addition, the identification of sacred sites and cultural heritage is crucial for their preservation and integration into development projects, thus ensuring respect for local traditions and values. All of this geospatial data therefore makes it possible to reconcile economic development, environmental preservation and respect for heritage within the framework of the Borealis system.

Cons: A drawback of the Borealis system is the complexity and burden of collecting and managing geospatial data. The precision required to map settlements, crops, and cultural sites requires significant human and technological resources, which can lead to high costs, extended lead times, and technical challenges in updating information.

    Overall: 1. Housing and Infrastructure
Precise mapping of housing and infrastructure enables harmonious planning and avoids land use conflicts.

    2. Plantations and Crops
Rigorous management of plantations, annual crops, and fallow land optimizes agricultural yields and preserves land fertility.

    3. Sacred Sites and Cultural Heritage
The identification and integration of sacred sites and heritage into development projects ensures their preservation and respect for local traditions.

    4. Geographic Information System (GIS)
All geospatial data is structured in a GIS, enabling efficient land management while preserving ecological and sociocultural balances.

    5. Overall Objective
Borealis aims to reconcile economic development, environmental preservation, and respect for heritage, thus ensuring sustainable land use.
