The software encrypts all data locally using AES-256-GCM before any transfer. Businesses choose where backups are stored: cloud platforms such as Backblaze B2, their own SFTP server, or a local NAS. No data passes through DataRunix infrastructure.
Encryption keys are generated uniquely per customer and remain exclusively with the business owner. No third party — including DataRunix — can access the encrypted data.
