"Good software, great for automation" Posted 2025-02-24
Pros: I like almost everything about AMFG, but mostly I like how it’s helped us stay on top of traceability for our automotive parts. The real-time production monitoring feature is a huge plus, it lets me keep track of everything and ensures nothing slips through the cracks. Coordinating across multiple sites has never been easier, thanks to the way it centralizes production management. And the digital inventory system is spot on, making sure our parts consistently meet the required parameters, which is essential for repeatable production.
Cons: The downside of AMFG is the operator view. It’s limited in terms of what it shows, mainly overdue or time-to-ship tasks, but I think having a ‘do today’ view would really make managing current tasks a lot easier. Also, the invoicing process could definitely use some improvement. Right now, it requires manually transferring data between separate flows for parcels, which adds unnecessary steps and takes away from the system’s efficiency.
Overall: With AMFG, we’ve been able to keep our production processes organized and streamlined, especially when it comes to managing large volumes of automotive parts. The real-time monitoring has been key in ensuring everything moves along smoothly, and it’s made coordination much simpler. While there are a couple of areas for improvement, like the operator view and invoicing, AMFG has definitely helped us improve traceability and manage production better overall.

"Great software for automation" Posted 2025-02-24
Pros: One of the biggest advantages of AMFG is how much easier it’s made handling customer orders. We can process them faster and cut down on delays, which has been a game-changer. Keeping track of everything from start to finish is another huge benefit, it gives us full oversight of production, which is critical in our industry. Since staffing shortages are a constant challenge, having a system that takes care of repetitive tasks has been a massive help. On top of that, the digital workers fill in the gaps where needed, making our daily workflow feel much smoother.
Cons: The setup process has been the most frustrating part—it’s not something you can just install and use right away. Some parts of the system, like the part and item tracking in the Build section, don’t feel as connected as they should be, which makes navigating it more complicated than necessary.
Overall: AMFG has a lot of strong points, especially when it comes to automating tasks and improving efficiency, but getting everything up and running isn’t exactly straightforward. The automation features have made a huge difference for us, but actually fine-tuning the system to fit our needs has taken more effort than we expected. For smaller teams, it can feel overwhelming trying to fully utilize everything it offers because of the setup involved. It’s a powerful platform, but making the most of it definitely requires time and patience.

"AMFG Helps Us Manage Our Manufacturing Processes Effectively" Posted 2025-02-21
Pros: What I really appreciate about AMFG is how well it manages critical parts. It ensures that all parts meet the strict quality standards and regulatory requirements that are so important in this industry. The automatic rescheduling of failed parts is a big help, making sure parts always meet the necessary specs. The robust security features are also reassuring, protecting digital assets in an industry where security is crucial.
Cons: The setup process is where we’ve faced challenges. It’s a bit complicated, and our team didn’t have enough bandwidth to fully support it. Another downside is how information-heavy the platform can be; it can feel overwhelming at times, and there's not enough guidance on what’s truly important. The invoicing process is also separate from other workflows, leading to inefficient manual transfers.
Overall: AMFG is a powerful tool with a lot of features for managing aerospace manufacturing, but it’s not the easiest platform to set up. The complexity can make it tough to unlock its full potential. Customer support could be quicker to respond, and the interface can sometimes feel cluttered. Despite these challenges, it’s still a reliable tool for our company.

Pros: Real-time monitoring is helpful as it allows for immediate detection of issues, reducing downtime and improving efficiency. By continuously tracking key performance indicators, businesses can make data-driven decisions, optimize processes, and enhance product quality.
Cons: There is no way to control changes, just tracking, meaning that while issues can be identified in real-time, direct intervention or automated corrections are not possible within the monitoring system itself.
Overall: Good tool for ensuring consistency, but it lacks some control features. This means that while it ensures uniformity in production, it does not allow for real-time adjustments or dynamic process optimizations without manual intervention.

Pros: The system integrates easily with a wide range of equipment. One feature I particularly appreciate is the real-time tracking of orders. We are in control of every order, providing real-time updates on each component’s status and helping us meet deadlines without worry. The traceability feature is also crucial for ensuring compliance with industry standards, which gives us peace of mind when it comes to regulatory requirements.
Cons: It allows you to modify part statuses, but the automations track item statuses, which causes some inconsistency. The lack of change control and rights management. It feels like there’s minimal control over who can make changes to the workflow, which is problematic.
Overall: I can see its value in our operations. The system’s integration with our existing production workflow has been seamless. Automating various processes has saved us time and improved efficiency. Of course, there are still areas that could be improved. The confusion between part and item tracking and the lack of change control have been a bit frustrating.
