About

WaitQ is a user-friendly cloud-based queue management platform that elevates the waiting experience and helps businesses lose fewer customers to long waits and no-shows. In addition to waitlists, it handles appointments and RSVP guest lists too, so businesses can manage the entire customer flow, whether walk-ins or bookings, from a single platform. Customers check-in or book an appointment on a branded public page, on their own phone or at a kiosk, and see their live status on a virtual waiting room, with no app download or account needed to join. Notifications go out via push, SMS, WhatsApp, or email the moment it's their turn, so customers can step away from a crowded entrance and wait wherever suits them. Floorplans and table management are also available for restaurants. Analytics track wait times, queue patterns, and no-show rates over time, and the platform supports custom branding across every touchpoint, without app downloads or specific hardware to buy or maintain.

About

waiting is a small library for waiting for stuff to happen. It basically waits for a function to return True, in various modes. Waiting is compatible with flux for simulated timelines. The most basic usage is when you have a function you want to wait for. Waiting forever is very simple. If your predicate returns a value, it will be returned as the result of wait(). A timeout parameter can also be specified. When a timeout expires without the predicate being fulfilled, an exception is thrown. Sleeping polls the predicate at a certain interval (by default 1 second). The interval can be changed with the sleep_seconds argument. When waiting for multiple predicates, waiting provides two simple facilities to help aggregate them, any and all. They resemble Python’s built-in any() and all(), except that they don’t call a predicate once it has been satisfied (this is useful when the predicates are inefficient and take time to complete).
