Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Suddenly a new feature (ads with sounds) began making noise, and I realized it was the Textra app. I contacted them, they thanked me for making them aware of it, and promptly fixed it - thank you! I Love this app! I was forced into Google Messages when Samsung discontinued their text service. I hated it and luckily discovered Textra. I'm a visual person and the colorful well-spaced layout of texts is appealing. Easy to attach photos, ect bcuz icons are clear and consistent, unlike Google Messages. Easy to add contacts, delete messages and when I searched for a friend whose name was Not in my Contacts, the cutest, most colorful little bee buzzed around, as if looking for someone who wasn't there! That feature was an unexpected plus! I swear I will keep making up fake contact names just to see that animated bee! The one thing I don't see anyone mention is the extended delayed receipt of messages to my contacts. Textra is definitely not an instantaneous messaging system. I sure will miss samsungs messaging system when it is killed off in July. Aes I keep trying other message options but always end up coming back to Textra. been using Textra for over 10 years now. I love all the customizable features. I love that I can 'like' a message and assign different people their own message tone. Cons None; they were quick to respond to my notice, and fast to make a patch to resolve the audible ads. Like Google Messages, I believe that messages in Trash are permanently deleted. Samsung used to have ability to restore, and I miss that. Extended delayed delivery of outgoing messages to contacts, and incoming messages. Definitely not instantaneous! Multiple contacts not pleased with very lengthy delayed messaging. I have canceled my VPN because textra claimed that was a prblm. When you receive a message, it just says Textra message. It has many stickers and effects to make the chatting fun. - The message exchange is just seamless with smooth animations. - It automatically distinguishes iMessage and non iMessage user by showing the chats in blue and green bubbles. - The chats can be made more interactive with the use of stickers and custom memojis. - It supports integration with many Apple applications, like Apple Pay. - It is more than just a messaging application with a lot of unique features. - It allows the iPhone user to text to another iPhone user, as well as people not on the Apple device. - It gets seamlessly integrated with other Apple application for a smoother experience. - The animation and exclusive use of memojis makes chatting more fun. - iMessage comes preloaded with Apple devices and is completely free to use. - The user interface of the application is feature packed and clean. - It allows the user to use animated emojis for a fun chat experience. - It also has feature that allow the user to send a message with special graphical effects. - It is completely free to use and run solely on data if the recipient is also using iMessage. Cons I suggest placing the Delete message option alongside or within the same menu as the reply, add sticker, copy, and translate options. This arrangement would make it easier to directly select and delete the last message, rather than having to navigate through a "More..." button. It would empower users to decide which message they want to delete independently. 1. It is only available for Apple devices. Other than this, it does not have any solid con. - Honestly, it is one of the best messaging tool available, and I haven't had any issues with it in my usage. - There isn't anything to dislike about this application, everything works smooth and jitter free. - It is only limited exclusively to Apple devices.
