Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like text now at first because I could finally call my country and receive text messages to my phone while away. I started using this phone number to get people to reach me while in a foreign country I use it in my email signature I use it on my business card I used it on my website but then... Was great before the company introduced all the pay walls. Now a barely serviceable extra line. Does not drop the majority of calls. Cons After a couple of weeks of using text now one morning the app was no longer connected to my account and I could no longer retrieve my phone number. So out of despair because I needed to make a phone call in my country I decided to just create a new account thinking that I would have to change all the phone numbers everywhere where I had a written the old text now phone number... And again I lost access to that number a second time and it is this time text now banned me. And I would have had to fight for my number and I talk to myself to the heck with that! I'm done with TextNow I'll never use it again. App selectively does not ring or alert you to texts (even after applying company prescribed fixes). Have to pay to get access codes, or they are willfully blocked. The price is ridiculous. Ads everywhere for you to accidentally click on. App pirates your phone after some texts, and makes you watch a full commercial, in the middle of your conversation. Solution is to close the app, and reboot it. Loading time is slow. Can you imagine if you were in trouble?! I actually paid to have my number reserved for a few months, and found out that it is a separate charge to get access codes, despite it not being advertised that way.		Pros from Real Users Pros iPlum’s HIPAA compliance feature has been a game-changer for us. We have been using iPlum to call and text patients at our clinical research institute for several months now. Not only has this made it easier for us and the patients to communicate, but it has also ensured that each patient’s privacy is fully maintained. Like the texting features. We can setup appointments, reminders, group texting and send broadcast to clients. Gives us both app & web interface for texting. Some of our therapists use it for calling as well, others use its voicemail feature only. We looked around & talked to every solution out there. We choose iPlum because: 1. Best cost in the industry. Similar feature products were atleast twice the cost 2. Good support system. 3. Modern design.
