Suitable for office and large-scale enterprise networks, Total Network Inventory is a simple and cost-effective hardware, software and network inventory tool that scans, identifies, and reports on your systems as comprehensively and efficiently as possible. It gives businesses a clear picture of the OS, service packs, hotfixes, hardware, software, running processes, etc. on remote machines. TNI software inventory tool will show you all the software installed on your network: what version is present, what computers have them, how many copies are found, and whether your licenses actually allow that many. License keys for some applications will be scanned automatically, and you're completely free to manually specify them for the rest. By the use of the filters, tags, grouping, search, and software tracking feature, you can be sure to never overlook anything.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Well designed interface and simple steps to perform main actions. Very flexible reports constructor showed big possibilities of building a big variety of different templates that eased our work. Quick support response helped us to understand some other features and solve small connection issues. In comparison with other similar programs, the price of TNI is very affordable.
  • Easy to use. Simple interface. Automatically scans my network and builds reports (exactly what I need). Helps to keep track of installed software or replaced hardware. Cheap in price but good in quality.

Cons

  • The absence of a web interface or having common access to the program. These inconveniences made our colleagues separate the usage of the program. It'd be great if we could save and store our data like to an SQL-database.
  • No software is perfect. This one lacks web-based interface and SQL-based database.
