About

Scratchboard is a Windows desktop organizer for storing and retrieving frequently used information. It arranges text in a hierarchical tree, allowing users to keep related details in separate branches and quickly locate them with search and bookmarks. Users can copy a branch’s text to the clipboard with a double-click, which can help when entering recurring information into forms or other applications. Editing tools include search and replace, macros, and spell checking. Scratchboard also supports encryption and password protection for stored information, along with interface skins. It can be used to organize reference notes, account details, software keys, contact information, and reusable text in one structured workspace. A free trial is available, and the product is offered as a paid Windows application.

About

writenode is a browser-based note-taking and personal knowledge tool for capturing and connecting information as users browse. Its Chrome extension lets users save selected text, webpages, links, PDFs, and spoken notes without leaving the current page. Captures become searchable, connected nodes, and a knowledge graph helps users see relationships among saved ideas. Users can ask questions grounded in their own materials and use a rich-text editor with AI actions to revise, summarize, expand, or reformat notes. A built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector lets Claude read and write the user's writenode memory. The web app also supports custom mental models that shape AI responses. Researchers, builders, writers, and other knowledge workers can use writenode to collect web-based information and retrieve or develop it later. Users can bring their own AI and transcription provider keys.
