About

NumLookup is an online service that allows users to perform free reverse phone number lookups to identify the owner or details related to a particular phone number. It is often used to uncover information about unknown callers, detect spam or scam calls, or verify the legitimacy of a phone number. NumLookup leverages publicly available data, including caller ID and carrier information, to provide users with insights such as the name, location, and phone carrier associated with the number. It’s a valuable tool for individuals and businesses seeking to manage their phone communications more effectively and avoid unwanted or fraudulent calls.

About

Verizon Call Filter helps protect you from unwanted calls and lets you decide who can reach you. Call Filter detects spam and blocks high-risk spam calls by forwarding them to voicemail. Call Filter is for mobile phones and selects standalone smartwatches. Call Filter screens incoming callers to alert you if a number may be spam, a robocall, or fraud. If your device isn't compatible with the Call Filter app, you may still be able to use Call Filter through My Verizon. The Call Filter app is pre-loaded on most Android devices and may already be on your phone. Identify suspected spam calls with alerts. Automatically block spam based on their risk level and send them to voicemail (Call Filter automatically blocks high-risk callers). Report phone numbers as spam. Use filters to block other unwanted callers, such as robocalls. Adjust spam filter settings any time. Features such as Caller ID and blocking entire area codes give you even more control over incoming calls.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • NOTHING, other than they are free, but YOU are the product.
  • Service did what it said - I asked for owner's name for number calling me and got it. No charge - other services (for cost). said "i.d. not available"
  • Found number and that’s about all. The app knows the user information but would not provide it without paying a stiff monthly fee.
  • I have used this for quite a while with no problems at all. Response time was very rapid. Go to cons.

Cons

  • How do I remove my name and address from their people search? They don't respond to the emails sent to 'hello@numlookup.com' in which I have asked to have them removed. They say it takes up to 45 days to remove the information, but here it is, two months later and still no changes.
  • Couldn't find description of when there is a charge and for what.
  • Expensive - not free. Stiff monthly fees. Falsely advertises free use.
  • Today I entered a suspicious number and received this response: You have reached your daily free limit. Please SUBSCRIBE to lookup additional phone numbers. On my first search???? I can't seem to find a limit stated anywhere. It says it is totally free.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Nothing. I receive MORE spam since I installed the app. Even spam texts are coming through. Would not recommend. If I wanted to have a spam call blocked then I would have to identify it as spam then categorize it. But it would do no good because spammers use different numbers all the time.
  • Absolutely Nothing! There is nothing positive to say about this non functioning product. I guess the only PRO is Verizon is making g a fortune e off its customer selling an app and service that doesn't work.

Cons

  • Everything. Did not block spam calls or texts. If I wanted to have a spam call blocked then I would have to identify it as spam then categorize it. But it would do no good because spammers use different numbers all the time.
  • Allows All Spam Calls Through! No Customer Support! A Pay Service That You Don't Get What You Pay For! THE App Does Absolutely Nothing But Consume Storage Space!
