About

NetFlow Analyzer is a comprehensive traffic analysis tool that leverages flow technologies to provide real-time visibility into network bandwidth performance. NetFlow Analyzer is primarily a bandwidth monitoring tool, which has optimized thousands of networks globally, offering a holistic view of your network bandwidth and traffic patterns. NetFlow Analyzer is a unified solution that collects, analyzes, and reports on your network's bandwidth usage, and by whom. NetFlow Analyzer is your partner in optimizing bandwidth usage across a million interfaces globally, as well as providing network forensics and network traffic analysis. Reconfigure policies with traffic shaping via ACLs or class-based policies to gain control of the applications that use the most bandwidth. NetFlow Analyzer leverages Cisco NBAR technology to give you deep visibility into Layer 7 traffic and recognize applications that use dynamic port numbers or hide behind known ports.

About

Obkio is a network monitoring software, observability and diagnostics platform that gives IT teams, MSPs, and network engineers full visibility into network performance, from the office to the cloud. As a leading Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) tool, Obkio deploys lightweight monitoring agents at any location to continuously track latency, jitter, packet loss, and bandwidth, and run Visual Traceroutes across the entire network path. Obkio supports SD-WAN, MPLS, VoIP/UC, and multi-site network monitoring, plus application performance monitoring (APM) with HTTP, Web, and Teams tests. With Obkio Insight, diagnostics are automated, helping teams pinpoint whether issues originate in-house, with an ISP, or a third-party service, and hold providers accountable with real data. Fast to deploy with no hardware required, Obkio turns network data into clear diagnostics and insights. Helping teams reduce downtime, validate SLAs, and prove the performance they're paying for.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It allows you to get your data flow and views from high level to down to the packet. From triaging slow performance to identifying potential security incidents. It's hands down the best of the lot.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of network traffic analysis and efficiently uses NetFlow Analyzer to monitor bandwidth usage. Identifies anomalies and performance bottlenecks quickly, ensuring smooth network operations. Collaborates well with network and security teams, providing accurate insights and detailed reports. Maintains consistent accuracy in dashboards, alerts, and threshold configurations to support proactive issue detection.
  • Shows top talkers, top protocols, top applications. Helps pinpoint where bandwidth is being consumed. Works with Cisco NetFlow, Juniper J-Flow, sFlow, IPFIX, etc. Good for mixed vendor environments. Historical trends help with capacity planning. Easy to spot usage spikes over time.
  • ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer is an ultimate option for monitoring bandwidth consumption. You can monitor it in realtime and check whether any choke is there or not. It provides information on which user or which devices is consuming the most giving the top talkers. 2. It manages the network traffic, analyzes it, checks for packet drops and helps in defining the rules and policies. 3. Helps in analyzing security issues and provides alerts if there are network threshold breaches for DDOS attacks.
  • ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer provides real-time bandwidth and traffic analysis with intuitive dashboards and support for multiple flow formats, making it easier to identify top talkers, bottlenecks, and anomalous traffic patterns. Users appreciate its historical trend reports and capacity planning insights, which help forecast future bandwidth needs and optimize network utilization, and many find its value-for-money and ease of use strong points compared with similar tools.

Cons

  • It is a lot of product and the scope of activities can be daunting.
  • Needs to further optimize report automation and configuration standardization for faster operational workflows. Could enhance documentation practices for traffic policies, alert tuning, and device integrations. May benefit from deeper exploration of advanced features like QoS monitoring and capacity planning. Workload balancing can be improved during peak monitoring or incident periods.
  • Default thresholds can be noisy. You’ll tweak alerts and reporting frequently at first. Lots of panels and charts; can be overwhelming initially. Custom dashboards take time to refine.
  • There are no cons for NetFlow Analyzer. It is very robust and secure. Provides customized dashboard options for network administrators. Consolidated view of all devices can be seen at one place. It has support for all the major network players like CISCO, Juniper, HP, Dell and more. NetFlow Analyzer also provides stats of the earlier bandwidth consumption, thus helps in deciding the capacity of the bandwidth pipe to be procured.
  • Its focus is primarily on flow-based traffic monitoring, so it doesn’t cover broader infrastructure health metrics by itself, and some users report slower performance or delays when generating large reports or filtering during peak traffic periods. Customization of alerts and reporting can be limited, and certain flow types or deep drill-downs may require extra configuration or feel less intuitive, particularly in very large or diverse environments.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The product is very easy to install and we can start using right away. it gives us exactly what we need to know and we can see problems with our network before users are impacted. we can decide what we want to monitor and pay only for what we need. This product can tell us what impact changes to our network can do.
  • - Easy to setup and configure. - A product I wish existed a long time ago. - Great for VOIP troubleshooting. - You pay for what you use, no surprises. You can add an agent to a remote computer and see where the problem resides and then remove it at very low cost. - Good variety agents available (we had one for our all external products). - You can dive into complex investigations very easily. - Great Dashboards and state of the Network - Able to be pro-active when network issues arise. - Great team for sales and support.
  • No need for a technician to the install the agent, a simple user can do it. Documentation is accurate and clear for everyone.
  • Obkio lets us monitor our internet connections around the world and address issues before users notice.
  • Very easy to setup and use. Good variety of public agents available. You pay for what you use, nothing more. Gives a good amount of information. Great tools to visualize the state of a network. Good wiki.

Cons

  • Nothing except we would like to have more time to use all the features provided by the product.
  • Nothing so far I can think of, like I said very easy to use and very powerful.
  • Nothing comes to mind right now. I am satisfied with how I use it.
  • Our team is not sure how to pronounce it. Is the O a hard or soft O?
  • Nothing comes to mind right now!
