AI engineers, and data-driven teams interested searching for a tool providing web scraping and data ingestion to generating clean content for LLM-based pipelines

About Gaffa

Gaffa is a REST API for browser automation that enables developers to control real, full browsers at scale with a single API call, eliminating the need to manage headless-browser frameworks, proxies, scaling, or infrastructure. It handles JavaScript rendering by default, ensuring that pages load exactly as they would for a real user, and supports a variety of automation tasks: scraping websites, taking screenshots, exporting pages to PDF, converting pages into clean, LLM-ready Markdown, infinite-scroll scraping of dynamic sites, form filling, capturing full-page screenshots, and archiving pages in offline form. Gaffa includes a rotating residential proxy network to ensure reliable access from different geographies, automatic CAPTCHA handling (where needed), and a credit-based usage model where you pay for actual browser execution time and bandwidth, simplifying scaling and cost control.

    "So easy to use"

    Posted 2026-04-30

Pros: Our system was using a more expensive competing product, but Gaffa made the transition simple and seamless. We are primarily using it to print PDF reports from our site, but plan to expand its use to other parts of our product and processes.

Cons: What's not to like? Our use case may not be the most complicated, but it just works!

Overall: Gaffa is a really solid service. It’s easy to get started, and everything feels thoughtfully put together. The tools are flexible, which saved us quite a bit of time.

What stood out most was how smooth the overall experience is—from setup through to actually using it day-to-day. It feels reliable, and the interface makes it easy to see what’s going on without digging around. Definitely a good option if you want something that just works without a steep learning curve and clear value for money.

    "Versatile and easy to use"

    Posted 2026-04-28

Pros: Very easy to get going! Really expressive API. Saved me a lot of time and allowed me to do just what I needed in terms of interacting with sites and getting data back in the right way. Also the dashboard where you can see your previous requests is really useful when debugging!

Cons: I needed to use the residential proxies for some of the sites I wanted to interact with, and those are quite expensive.

Overall: Really good experience! I'd always found scraping a pain, but this made it much easier. Definitely worth the cost.
