About

Right permissions with no spying. Crash restore, undo closed tabs, infinite tabs & more.No bloat with focus on efficiency. Uses a minimal user interface to conserve resources. Naked Browser does not use data to spy, monitor, or even show ads. All data transfer is solely as a result of your requests & retrievals. Because Naked Browser is designed for efficiency, you may use more data simply because you can browse sites faster. Naked Browser uses the Android WebView that's on your device to display web pages. All data requests & retrievals, all cookies, all passwords, etc. are handled by the WebView and Naked Browser does not interfere with the default behavior. However, versions of Android before 5.0 do not get System WebView updates via the Play Store, and there are known problems with older WebView. Android 7+ uses Chrome Browser as WebView, if installed.

About

WebPositive, or Web+ for short, is Haiku's native web browser. One part of its name is a tip of the hat to BeOS' simple NetPositive, the other points to its modern foundation: the WebKit. This open source HTML rendering library is at the heart of other mainstream browsers as well, like Safari of Mac OS X and Google's Chrome. By using the ever evolving WebKit, Web+ will be able to keep up with new web technologies. WebPositive's interface is pretty straight forward: Under a menu bar is another bar with buttons to navigate to the previous and next sites in your browsing history, to stop the loading of a page and (optionally) a button to jump to your starting page. At the bottom of the window is a status bar, showing the URL of the site being loaded or of the link the mouse pointer is hovering over. While a page is being loaded, a progress bar appears to the right.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Simple, clean, no ad pop up’s. Buttons for popular websites and browsing history. Learning curve if you are used to the mainstream browsers (Firefox, Chrome, etc). But not hard to learn.

Cons

  • I have an old Kindle Fire 7”, not HD. Runs Android 7.5.1, not upgradable due to old hardware. Install was easy by following instructions given where I read a review. Seemed glitchy, likely due to semi-obsolete Kindle. Uninstall took a long time but did complete. I did not put much time into it, not my cup of tea.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Is great!! Speeds up websites very very fast.

Cons

  • Will be a browser similar to Pale Moon, speed, only best the charge videos.
