About

Mozart AI is the world’s first AI‑powered Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that embeds an intelligent co‑producer directly into your music creation workflow, responding to text and voice prompts to generate, refine, and arrange professional‑quality compositions in seconds. It supports conversational commands for melody, harmony, drums, bass, and mixing tasks, leveraging “TAB Mode” for context‑aware suggestions and loop generation to craft precise eight‑bar patterns or full arrangements instantly. Semantic sample search scans your own library by mood or description, while one‑prompt mixing applies compression, EQ, side‑chain, and limiting automatically. Built‑in AI vocals and lyric tools convert MIDI into studio‑grade vocals, and style referencing lets you mirror the vibe of favorite tracks. Through an expanded context window, Mozart AI indexes entire sessions, mapping relationships across tracks and retaining project‑wide understanding.

About

SoundCraft is an open-source digital audio workstation for recording, editing, arranging and mixing audio. Its Edit window supports multitrack arrangement, playlists, comping, fades and tempo maps; the Mix window provides channel strips, buses, sends, automation and plugins. Users can record audio and MIDI, edit MIDI in piano-roll and score views, import common audio formats, and bounce mixes or stems. CLAP, VST3 and Audio Unit plugins are supported, and a CLI, JSON control channel and MCP server expose commands for scripts and AI agents. Native releases are available for macOS, Windows and Linux; FreeBSD and a browser-based WebAssembly build are also documented. It is aimed at audio engineers, musicians, producers and developers working on music, recording, mixing, soundtracks or other multitrack audio. SoundCraft is currently labeled pre-alpha, with development ongoing.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Not much after what happened. Since they require you to write at least one hundred characters of how great they are, I am typing all of this because I DON'T HAVE MUCH POSITIVE to say about this program.

Cons

  • I just wanted to try out Mozart AI. The free option was not visible, so I decided to pay for a month and see how it worked for my needs. It cancelled most renders and stalled on others. It changed my original audio too much no matter what setting I put it on. I decided to cancel and found out that they charged me for the whole year and there are NO REFUNDS. I tried to chat with someone, but it was AI chat and a HUMAN would take 12 HOURS to respond. I guess I'm f#$%ed.
