Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros There are many positives with this program, the various features are nicely explained within the program and are easy to use. For example, the GANTT chart features and customization options provides a wonderful illustration of the tasks and overall course of the project. The user interface of the product is excellent and meets or exceeds other Microsoft branded products. It has helped my team stay on track with projects in our office, allows for us to see the trajectory of the next few months in a detailed way, and has several layouts for folks to choose what is the best for them. My favorite part of projects is its integration with other Microsoft products, since my office uses these exclusively. It enhances the value of Projects, Teams, etc since they all work seamlessly together! Microsoft Project allows firms to be in charge of all the procedures and operations that are conducted within the company. More so, Microsoft Project brings accuracy in terms of payments and costs management. Further, Microsoft Project concentrates on better cloud space, for projects and database. This program is great for the price that you pay for. It has all the features that you would need to create schedules, log time, manpower, cost to it like other programs for less cost. Microsoft Project is very user friendly and easy to pick up. It's great for creating and updating construction schedules. Cons I had access to Microsoft Project via my educational institution and I used this access for both academic projects and personal usage. That said my only real con for this program is the cost, the cost for this product is fairly high and the yearly subscription for the on-premise versions varies from several hundred to over a thousand which is cost-prohibitive to many smaller entities. There was a steep learning curve to the software, and I still feel like we are not utilizing it fully. There are lots of online forums and guides, but it is not as user friendly as I'd like it to be on its own. Microsoft Project is a stable and focused program for managing all operations, however, Microsoft Project requires a swift price control, to bring more clients. There is better management of operations using Microsoft Project, but credible price rates are vital. It's a bit of a learning curve using this program but once you get a hang of it then it's really easy to use and update. I don't really like the cost/accounting portion of Project. It may be helpful to some, but I prefer to keep the accounting portion out of my project schedule.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like how flexible Notion is. I can keep project notes, tasks, documentation, and other information in one place. The ability to customize pages and databases also makes it easy to adapt Notion to different workflows. Notion ended up replacing a bunch of different tools I was bouncing between for notes, tasks, project planning, and random ideas. Having everything in one place makes it way easier to stay organized, especially when work gets hectic. The thing I like most is how flexible it is. You can build pages however you want, create databases, track projects, save documentation, or just use it as a giant digital notebook. It feels like you can make it fit almost any workflow. Notion is a very flexible platform that aims to be able to do almost anything as it relates to collaboration and managing the day to day activities of your team. We originally liked the fact that it offered this all in one approach and would help keep things centralized. It is also easy to use with drag and drop functionality the core to basically every aspect of the product. Flexible workspace allows managing notes, tasks, docs & project. Intuitive editing & toggling with toggleable views. Notion, a versatile all in one workspace, presents several advantages for users seeking a flexible & collaborative digital environment. Its block based structure offers a modular & customizable approach to content creation. Cons The learning curve can be a little steep at first, especially when working with databases, relations, and more advanced features. When you're first getting started, it can feel like a lot. There are so many options that it's easy to spend more time setting things up than actually using them. I've also noticed that larger pages can get a little slow sometimes. For our team the flexibility ended up being a bit of a downfall. We ended up with so many different pages and areas of the app where people were adding or creating content or tasks. In the end we decided to pair it all back and now use Notion for SoPs and as a wiki only. A very steep learning curve for complex workspaces & databases. Lacks advanced permissions for secure collaboration. The abundance of features initially overwhelm a new user, People may need to take a basic training in order to explore full potential of Notion from start.
