Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Forms is very simple to use, and does make it fairly easy to jump right in. It can be integrated into other Microsoft products, and has the ability to do some very nice things on the backend with Power Automate.
  • I appreciate that Microsoft Forms is straightforward and easy to use, even for beginners of creating online forms. There are just enough customization options for creating various types of questions and input fields, yet there are not so many customization features to be confusing or overwhelming for a beginner. I also really like that it is easy to share the form for collaboration with multiple users; this makes it easy for a more technical person to set up the form while still allowing others to access the results in real-time or make adjustments as needed.
  • It was convenient to use, and has an unintrusive design.
  • Integrates well within Teams, Outlook, SharePoint etc. Has numerous survey types and is easy to send out and track surveys.
  • 1. Microsoft Forms is a versatile to create various types of forms, tests and quizzes. 2. A common allows multiple user to access the form at once. 3. It can be easily integrated with other Microsoft Applications. 4. It is free to use.

Cons

  • It is incredibly limited in what it is able to do compared to its competitors. If you need a very straight forward survey or form, this is the product. If you need more capabilities and logic to make it a seamless survey, this is not the one.
  • Since I am not a beginner of creating online forms, I would strongly prefer a form service to have a wide variety of customization features to be able to change everything from the font color and size to the arrangement of the content on the page. This would help companies and individuals be able to better brand the survey or form to be consistent with their design norms. I would also love to see more options for displaying results. The simplicity of the "Open in Excel" feature is a double-edged sword. It's easy to use, but it's limiting for presentation purposes.
  • My maths test was marked incorrectly because I showed my work, this is disappointing.
  • Nothing to dislike. It does the job well and quick.
  • 1. It is a bit difficult to use. 2. There should more templates.
