Our feature-rich, intuitive architecture enables customers to save time, reduce operating costs, and solve new business problems. The industry standard for easy-to-manage, fast and dependable Wi-Fi. Protect and securely connect what matters most, regardless of location. Uncompromising performance and reliability at the heart of your network. Remote monitoring and identity-based configuration for all your devices.

About

Our products provide your security systems with complete, uncompromising visibility into your network. You will find that this helps to keep pace with increasing network speed and complexity, while gaining the insight needed to better detect and contain breaches, and achieve a rapid recovery. By implementing Network Critical solutions you can improve your existing security system's network performance, therefore increasing your ROI. Firstly, SPAN ports. These have been a long-term, insufficient, solution to network security. It is remarkably easy for hackers to infiltrate routers, switches and entire networks without detection. SPAN does not provide access to real-time information either, which is another key issue that may greatly affect your network's security. This is because SPAN ports groom your data, unlike Network TAPs, that act as a window, where you can look through at any time, in real-time.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I love the visibility! Everything is easy to setup and navigate. Except for 1 thing. Troubleshooting is easy when you can drill down into the specific client device and see what is happening. Packet inspection. Single pane of glass.
  • Can see everything happening on the network. Large number of functions with add-ons. Granular management of devices on the firewall. Everything in one spot. Great interface. Easy to add devices. Easy to integrate with AD.
  • - no touch install - %100 cloud base - wide range of appliances - right prices - Excellent Customer support - Auto VPN

Cons

  • The firewall.... OMG! If you have ever dealt with any type of firewall in your professional career you are going to battle. It's how I imagine some one would design an interface for a firewall if it was thrown in to tick a box. My 10 year old could do better. It's like trying to navigate a country's road when the sign boards don't have English and you typically drive on the left hand side of the road. How did anyone, with any type of security experience, say yeah that's good, security admins will like that!? It almost makes me wonder if the marketing department wrote the interface for the firewall.
  • There is a lot in there so can be a little overwhelming. Reports could be a touch better. Would like the ability to create network diagrams.
  • - somehow limited functionality - expensive swathes - licensing can be pricy

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I don't know where to start. I have over 20 years of experience with Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls. All are great in one way or another but have something that goes against them (complexity, cost or speed are the most obvious that come to mind). Along came WatchGuard and seriously their hardware checks every box! They are super fast and don't bog down for anything. They are by far the easiest to configure while lacking NOTHING in features. The most amazing thing though is their pricing which is the lowest of the bunch by far. Oh and 24/7 domestic support which has proven to be exceptional.
  • WatchGuard helps business from being hacked and prevent data breaches. It shows the live status of business security. It allows to control geolocation traffic. Customer support is very helpful.

Cons

  • Honestly none. Seriously, none. Any roadblocks I have hit have been handled promptly by their tech support.
  • Few times WatchGuard firewall blocks some genuine links also.
