Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Hoped this would be a good alternative to Adobe InDesign. Nope. It had potential but a billing error has left me with a bad opinion of the company. Be careful with your money, Adobe is much better. Lucidpress’ online publishing platform has all the features I need for my quarterly newsletter. I especially like that it’s shareable so more than one person can write and edit directly onto the document simultaneously and in real time. Great to use while sharing on zoom! It saves changes automatically so it’s virtually impossible to lose edits. It’s easy to download and save versions to refer back to, and when it’s ready to print, I can save with crop marks to send directly to printers, or in optimized format for web publishing. It’s made pushing out regular and timely newsletters (not my main job!) just that much easier. Thank you, Lucidpress! I love that I could create my layout in InDesign and upload it to the website and had a beautiful book in return. The site is easy to use. I read a round-up of reviews and Lucidpress was recommended. I have been extremely happy with my decision I like the opportunity to have a free trial to see what Lucidpress was all about. After those 14 days, I could not purchase it fast enough. The ease of allowing people to create content without having to impact my coworkers was amazing. No matter how you search for a template, they are quick to find, easy to use and simple to download. It is user friendly and generates the perfect customizable flyer. Cons Charged me nearly $400 for a year of software, even after I cancelled my subscription. Did not send an invoice or receipt. Will not refund or resolve the issue. The learning curve was somewhat steep at first when my employer, UCI Health, decided to use this through one of our printing partners, but once I mastered the quirks in its text formatting and image handling, it was smooth sailing. It doesn’t handle directory listings in column format terribly well and it automatically resized text without my asking. Perhaps I need to figure out how to prevent this, but it was frustrating to say the least! I would lever a larger gutter in layout. This was not adjusted in the template that I had to upload the document to. I have yet to run into a con, anytime I have had any sort of issue (which haven't been many) the customer service has been there with every answer. I have not found any negative feature using this system.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros You can literally find graphics for any project. Also, it auto-adjusts the content to fit different sizes (Instagram square, facebook cover, Pinterest pin, etc.). It really saves you a lot of time. Besides that, I love the Remix feature, where you can take the core elements of your design and have the software create some amazing looking alternatives. I specialise in finding digital tools to assist the small or micro business to be more efficient. This product is a dream. There are so many beautiful designs templates to choose from and the program enables you to keep a consistent style and branding across all designs. It enables you to take your pictures to a whole new level of professionalism. Sorry graphic designers, this program is going to do you out of business. There are numerous templates to match any scenario. This makes it amazingly easy to create social media images, banner ads, etc. The templates are already there, so I don't have to figure out what might work from a design perspective (but a lot of tweaking can be done after the fact, so I'm not STUCK, either). It's mostly as easy as drag-and-drop. Once one image has been designed, it's REALLY easy, with just a couple of clicks, to create "matching" images in a variety of sizes and shapes, or to create multiple variations of the same thing. (Sometimes the hardest part is NARROWING DOWN the options!) RelayThat allows us to create professional designs faster than we were able to do it before. We can design for various social media platforms and export at the same time. Our time is saved and we can concentrate on other marketing tasks. Cons The template library is nice but it could be bigger. Plus, I have negative experience with the support. They haven't responded to my email. Not many cons. The only challenge I've had is that you can not create your own custom ratio or sizes or flip images if needed for a particular design, but with so many stock images to choose from, it's not much of a problem. I can't always adjust the spacing of text quite as precisely as I'd like. And occasionally it's a little glitchy about saving the output looking exactly like it appears on my screen. Do not see any cons for RelayThat, one request would be adding more templates so we can be inspired when creating our own.
