Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I did not find any reason to use this website. Initially i registered it because of its domain name. It seemed legit. But its a crap
  • Mail.com is the best email service if you are speedrunning getting your account banned without breaking any rules. My personal best is 2 seconds, and no other email provider has even come close!
  • None. There is nothing positive. There is nothing good. They are terrible. Do not use this. They will hurt you & will not care.
  • N/A.
  • Everything was ok apart from being bombarded with endless ads simply because i chose not to pay for premium.

Cons

  • They refuse to delete accounts. When I asked to close mine, they said they would only "block" it and that the timeline for actual deletion is "uncertain." They also demand the exact date you created your account just to process the request, which nobody remembers. This service traps your data and likely violates EU privacy laws. Avoid at all costs.
  • They do not value privacy (you are not allowed to use a VPN or your email will be permanently blocked and deleted, even though this is mentioned nowhere in their terms of service OR in the sign-up process). Your data is at their mercy. They can (and WILL) decide at random to just delete your account because of some arbitrary rule you broke that isn't listed anywhere on their website. Do not use mail.com for anything other than creating junk email accounts, because anything important can be deleted at any time with zero chance of recovery. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you send them a message to try to restore your account, you receive back a generic message saying "We can't tell you what rule you broke, but you're screwed. We take ourselves very seriously and so we refuse to provide the one service we offer. Have a nice day and gfys!"
  • Everything! Don't use this e-mail service. They are cold blooded. Deleted my account because I didn't sign in enough. Refused to help me. I have been locked out of Facebook & Amazon account for years because of them! Many others have the same experience. Do yourself a favor & just don't use them! Do not add them to anything important that you value. They do not care about you & I wish I never used Mail.com.
  • Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled
  • Suddenly blocked my account after many years and i have now lost hundreds of important contacts and endless amounts of saved data. They now ignore my emails and when they did respond it was pretty much tough luck.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • One feature of Zoho Mail that fully elevates it beyond the competition is its ability to automatically send emails with attachments that are hidden in my inbox as internal alerts about emails that are waiting for my response. The next function is Schedule email, which is extremely generic but still vital. Sending birthday wishes to coworkers at the appropriate time makes life easier.
  • Pricing: 25MB of attachments and 5 GB mailbox is great for an Gmail alternative, competitive pricing if you're a business. Ease of use: Zoho Mail has an excellent UI, which I like more than Gmail and other alternatives.
  • Zoho Mail is an incredible solution that allows very small businesses the ability to have professional email at no cost.
  • I like that I can set up folders to segment my emails. I am able to connect Zoho Workdrive and attach files to and from email. It's very easy to compose new messages and delay sending them if you like.
  • Tons of features, Easily customizable, Very affordable and reliable. I've used it for several customers and have had no problems or complaints.

Cons

  • When I send an email to a group of people, I include the name of that group in the subject line. And the email I send is returned to my inbox if I am a member of that team. In other words, I'm getting a response to the email I wrote to myself. I absolutely detest this feature.
  • Intelligent Filters: When I was setting up my account, every e-mail sent would go to a filter, annoying for me, but you can remove those filters. IMAP/POP: I prefer to use Thunderbird, but on the free plan, you can't use IMAP or POP.
  • There are some limitations, the biggest being the inability to use IMAP or POP.
  • The search function is horrible. Coming from Gmail, it's a night and day difference. Often times I struggle to find an email that is needed.
  • The platform can be a little challenging getting to where you need to be, but once used to it I've had no problems.
