About

SFX v3 is ElevenLabs’ text-to-sound-effects model, offered through the ElevenCreative platform and ElevenAPI rather than as a separate standalone application. It turns written prompts into short audio clips for video, games, interactive media, film, trailers, Foley, and ambient sound design. Prompts can describe multiple actions or sounds in sequence, as well as musical elements and vocals. In ElevenCreative, users can generate effects in the Sound Effects area, Flows, Studio, and Music Editor; developers can call the sound-effects API using the model ID eleven_text_to_sound_v3 to add generation to their own applications and workflows. Available controls include duration, looping, and prompt influence, and generation can produce effects up to 30 seconds. SFX v3 is in limited access, so availability may vary by account and region.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I got a copy of Magix Music Maker in a bundle sale and decided to try my hand at making some lit tracks. I liked how - the software has different "modes" for users of different levels of experience - there are plenty of tutorials for how to create certain common effects - the selection of instrument types is pretty diverse

Cons

  • If you want specific genres of music, Magix sells those under different add on licenses. For example, there's the Magix Music Maker Hip Hop edition , another for 80s style music, EDM, and trap beats. You can try them out via the free trial, so that's nice...but still, if you're paying for the Magix Music Maker it feels bad to need to pay to access "special editions"
