Record, edit and play back mouse and keyboard macros with Macro Express. Its powerful tools and robust features will make you more productive. A macro is a way to automate a task that you perform repeatedly or on a regular basis. It is a series of commands and actions that can be stored and run whenever you need to perform the task. Automate boring, repetitive computer tasks. Get the job done quicker and with less stress. Reduce wear and tear on wrists and hands. Set up Repeat loops to blast through hours of tedious data transfer. Improve accuracy, and eliminate errors that may occur when performing repetitive tasks.

About

PatternMaker is the primary program and is used to create patterns. Once patterns are created they can be exported into digital files that can be shared like any file on the Internet. There are different levels — versions — of PatternMaker. MacroGen is the program that creates the exported files. The exported files are called macros. The macros have the ability to accept different measurements so the pattern can be adjusted to fit. Macros are executed by PatternMaker. (Many computer programs have macros that exist in a digital, sharable format. For example, Microsoft Word and Excel have the ability to export macros for sharing.) So, to run a macro you need the PatternMaker program. Collection Creator combines many different patterns that are in macro form into a collection. A collection might be a group of summer dresses.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • PatternMaker is a great CAD software. It has several levels that allows you to opt in at your budget and build up as you go. I started with professional studio and now use the grading studio. I also design garment patterns with Macrogen by PatternMaker. Its versatile and flexible for you. You can design from the scratch or work from predesigned templates.

Cons

  • I would like a few more features added like an auto save. Sometimes I lose my work.
